When you install or use the Smart Specials app, we access certain Shopify store data required to operate scheduled promotions. This includes:

App installation metadata
We do not collect or store customer personal data, order information, checkout data, or payment information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to operate the App, including:

Applying and reverting promotional pricing

Displaying product badges

Managing weekly, monthly, and seasonal specials

Providing support and troubleshooting

Complying with Shopify’s GDPR framework
We do not sell data, share data with advertisers, or use data for unrelated analytics.
3. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain merchant data only while the App is installed.
All merchant data is automatically deleted when:

The App is uninstalled, or
-
Shopify issues a Shop Redact GDPR request
Smart Specials does not store customer personal data, so customer redact requests result in acknowledgement only.
4. GDPR & Shopify Compliance
We comply with Shopify’s mandatory GDPR webhooks:

Customers Redact — acknowledged; no customer data is stored

Shop Redact — all merchant data is deleted

Shop Data Request — acknowledged and fulfilled upon request

App Uninstalled — all merchant data is deleted immediately

Merchants may request a copy of their stored data or request deletion at any time by contacting:
